Memorial Charm Information

Our memorial charms are designed with love and care.  However, please note that wearing your charm daily may lead to increased wear and tear.  Exposure to water, sweat, friction, lotions, perfumes and other environmental elements can cause fading, tarnishing, scratching and other forms of damage over time.

To preserve the quality and longevity of your charm, we recommend removing it during activities that may expose it to harsh conditions such as bathing, swimming, exercising or heavy manual work or working with chemicals.

By choosing to wear your charm every day, you acknowledge and accept the natural risk of accelerated aging or damage due to regular use.

However if you do experience any issues, please do get in touch and I will do my utmost to resolve.

All Memorial Jewellery

It is possible that over time, the colour in your jewellery item may fade especially when wearing every day, being exposed to UV light, chemicals, cleaning products, perfumes and creams and with everyday use, resin can scratch.  Its also possible that 925 Silver jewellery can tarnish.

Here are some aftercare instructions to follow that can help prolong the life of your item

Cleaning

  • Use a soft cloth (like microfiber) to gently wipe away dust and oils, this is usually included with your order.

  • For a deeper clean, use mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid soaking.

  • Dry completely with a clean, soft towel. Do not use paper towels as they can scratch.

Storage

  • Store resin jewellery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

  • Keep pieces in a soft pouch or jewellery box to prevent scratching.

  • Avoid contact with other sharp or hard jewellery pieces.

❌ Avoid

  • Prolonged sunlight – UV rays can yellow resin over time.

  • Heat – High temperatures may soften or warp the resin.

  • Chemicals – Keep away from perfumes, hairspray, acetone, cleaning products, etc.

  • Water exposure – Occasional splashes are okay, but avoid wearing it in the shower, pool, or ocean.

✅ Tips to Extend Life

  • Put on resin jewellery after applying makeup, lotion, or perfume.

  • Remove jewellery before doing physical work, exercising, or sleeping.
